When first beginning this project, I had no clue about which direction or focus I wanted to go with my song, and I did not really know what to expect when being introduced to Adobe Audition. I then began thinking about some ideas for the style and direction of my song, and I came up with a few varieties for possible song ideas. One idea I had was creating a more upbeat, energetic song using louder, sharper sounds that people had uploaded to the share folder. Another concept I had for a possible song was using softer, more soothing sounds and creating a more relaxing song that one may like to hear while resting outdoors or walking to class or driving in their car.
After searching through the shared folder and listening to the many different sounds that people had uploaded, I realized that this assignment may prove to be a bit more challenging to create a song that fully fit my ideas than I had anticipated. I decided that I would try and make a song with a bit of an upbeat tempo and bring more energy. I began looking for sounds that had some thuds or rhythm to them so I could put them together to try and have some flow to my song. I tried to incorporate sounds like water dripping or people going up stairs to create a beat. I also used repetition of sounds and changed their pitch and speed to create different rhythms.
Overall I am decently happy with how my song turned out in the end given the fact that it was created with sounds like pills rattling, protein powder thudding, and water dripping.
